The Fool's Philosophy

The Fool's Philosophy
On the jagged edge of sanity,
To go this way or that?
To take the easy way out or take the laborious brittle path of truth,
Some do step aside to take the tumultuous tracks of treachery,
To trample over smooth rocks, stones, grass and waylaid thorns,
Fondle the vines and pluck perfumed purple flowers of deceit, from the very base of their nasty shoots,
To share some with others, and, to keep few for self,
To tear apart the flesh of the forbidden fruit, and out spit, like seeds, the bitter truths.

On this steep road of truth, that merges into the lofty green hills of happiness,
Stop! See the way, lest the perfumes of purple flowers draw you to a euphoric play,
Halt, and see the vines tangle your legs, and scuttle the right step,
Fend, as they slash your chest and pierce your heart, ensnare your senses.
‘I go this way or that? I go this way or that?’ You chant in a trance.
And to answer that is a humongous maddening task.
And then The Fool steps in,
The words of the mad speak the words of the truth,
Spoken without fear,
Spoken to spook:

Fool of the wise sane world! Hey ho!
Fool on the way!
Hit on the head! Nay no!
Steps of a cur stray!
Knock on Wood!
Bury the black cat!
Walk Away!
And remember this mad cap!’

‘Why did you leave the grass so green?
Why did you take the paths that gleamed?
And thus the vines pulled and pulled,
And thus were your senses poisoned and lulled,
The mind, the thoughts went into a twisted play,
Turned your intentions to sway! Hey! Hey ! Hey Now!
Cut of the vines and shake of the mud!
Crush the purple flowers the moment they bud!
Jump over the fence and cross over the thorny twines!
Keep to the brittle path of truth as it winds,
Goal to the horizon and with an eye on your soul,
The path to happiness will slowly enfold,
Remember, sanity is standing on the edge of a thin line to be cruel,

Never forget, dear wise man of the world, the wisdom in the words of this Philosopher Fool!

Will & Success ( Part 3)

...

With a will as a rock,
A desire a deep ocean,
Mind like the sky,
Spirit of the sun,
Starts the success in motion

The flame now roars,
Now having reached the world shores,
Many defeats,
Make the success a sweet lore,

An enormous feeling even the more,
But......

To be continued....

Into an Abyss and Out

Hello my friends my dear readers! Where I am located-it is the sweltering heat and humidity which is on- burning up my laptop! Well today’s poem comes straight from one of my ‘fits of fury’ unleashed on the whole wide world! Well , all of us have ‘those ‘ moments when we want to just smash anyone and anything that seems so unfair! So much so the  more writers /painters/singers/musicians –all mostly people who think with the heart first than the head! And YES , I admit I am a women and we do have such moments too often! My husband generally jokes that I have a bi polar disorder- which most creative people have- but it doesn’t mean that if you don’t have it and you write well you should sulk over it!!!! Or like most creative people you also don’t need to go mad or be in abject poverty to be known as a good artist! Yes, there are people who feel as if something is missing if they don’t have pain. So this poem was written during my ‘one of those’ - moods when emotions go up and down and all around. I later modified the poem on visual structure –that is- I positioned the words and letters in a way to convey my emotions the best way- -----
So I hope it has effect. Do let me know what you think? So here I go make myself a lovely chocolate, coffee and vanilla ice cream smoothie! Bye & Enjoy!

Into an Abyss and Out
And thus I go on,
 rambling on,
and ranting on,
Like
a          river over a,
Downward, hilly valley,
Cutting through rocks, stones,
Rushing over banks to flow finally in the deep blue.

And thus, I go on,
My view of the world outside in,
On one point I and the rest,
A merry go round,
All insides up and down,
All nerves bursting to
SHOUT!

And thus, I go on,
Falling.
And falling,
And falling,
Falling,
Deeper,
And deeper,
And deeper,
Deeper,
Twisting, twisting, and twisting
Turning and turning,
down

Into an abyss

I fall into an abyss,
Getting all sucked in and,
Waiting for the moment,
To be SPIT OUT of ,
This VACCUM OF VIOLENT FEELINGS!

Silent,

Yet waiting to ERRUPT ANY MOMENT!
I wait,

To be thrown out and rebound high,
To WHIP and VANQUISH deceit, disloyal persons and things,
And all that is,
UNFAITHFUL, UNTRUE, AND UNFAIR!

I wish,
To PLUMMET and STRIKE out,
All those who play games, and cause despair to others,
To plant good seeds,
To Colour with a paint of goodness and truth
To Say and hear lovely thoughts, and,
To See kindness and compassion,
To hear truths,
To make things better,
To be peaceful,
To be quiet,
To be thoughtful,
To be kind,
And then just………
To be me.

Me for the Trees- World Environment Day June 5, 2011

Hello, my readers my friends! Today’s thought and poem is dedicated to the World Environment Day on June 5 2011.I am not writing for any competition but I write with my voice for the trees and for the future generation which depends upon nature.  You would have already noticed how hot it is getting all over India, may be its due to deforestation and building of concrete jungles? If you go around the country you will see especially in the north that a lot of trees are being cut for various commercial purposes, which results in landslides and environmental changes in the region.
Just as God helps those who help themselves, in the same way Nature will help you if you help her to survive! A lot of problems of purer air and water can be solved by planting of more trees, recycling and using environmentally friendly items and following some simple steps in everyday living, for more information on such a concept you can see the TreeHuggers website www.treehugger.com/ , as well as detailed analysis of the environment can be seen at the UNEP website www.unep.org/   or www.unep.org/wed/
So I appeal to you to take some time off from your busy schedule on the 5th and do something simple like planting a tree or just looking at it from far away and saying a big ‘Thank You!’ , for all the carbon dioxide it is working on each day and night without overtime charges!! So take a cup of coffee with some cardamom and enjoy the poem below! The poem is in two parts; the first part has my voice for the trees and the second the Voices of Trees! Write to me!
Me for the Trees
Oh look, here is our old childhood tree!
And that’s not all, it is made of wood!
The pencil in childhood,
The bed in adulthood,
The stick in our old age,
Slippers of the sage,
In each book and hymn page!

Yet,
We burn! We burn!
We cut, and we burn!
For all the millions to earn!
When will we ever learn?
We are burning our fingers,
We are axing our two feet,
If we burn all the forests down?
How will homes be made and what will we eat?
The Trees don’t speak, but they feel,
Yes, even through their hard teak!
And if they had a voice they would say…….

The Voice of Trees…….
Imagine a world with no trees, just imagine it?
No table to write or discover lands overseas?
No warmth in the cold, no animals in the woods?
No one to give you shade in places where we once stood,
No romance behind us lovely green trees?
No humming of the birds or buzzing of the bees?
No ! You can’t do without us trees!
So please, please, please, don’t cut my roots and my long vines!
Take care of our Earth as our future is entwined!
So please, don’t cut us lovely trees , please!

And such will be their plight as they fall,
We only take but they always give to all,
No wonder! No wonder ,why,
God has made them stand upright and above us all!
